Foley sound Is the recreation of everyday sound effects to be put into films or other types of media. This is added in at post-production. Foley sound is usually added in later to make the audio clearer or to create more impact.
Professional foley sound is created in a recording studio, where the sound manufacturer will create sounds that will match the visuals to enhance the audio.
An example could be the sound of a punch.
A way of making a punch sound can be done like this.
This makes the sound of the punch louder, therefor creating more impact.
I have tried to create my own foley sound at home by recreating the first 30 second of sounds from this clip.
