Titles

Titles recognise the most important people involved in making, producing the film. Mostly opening title sequences focus on key information, such as institutional and creative names. The roles traditionally always used in title sequence are the director, writer, funders, and the top people involved in the filmIn total title sequences should include 21 roles.

The 21 roles are:

Production

Directors name film

Main star

Actor 2

Actor 3

Actor 4

Actor 5

Title sequences usually reflect the stylegenre and narrative of the film. This can be done through the font, style, colour, frame/screen placement or edit/transition

An example could be The Conjuring 2

In the titles are paired with old scary photos, to help set up the narrative. The titles have an off white back ground, which makes them stand out and easier to read. They didn't include any bright colours in their titles, the dull colours added to the horror theme.

In comparison a film like Wonder Woman has a lot of bright colours, especially golds to show power and success. The gold titles stand out amongst the vast landscapes or black backgrounds.
