My final opening sequence idea is a thriller.
Young police helpline operator picks up a call
“999. Emergency..how can I help?..hello?..relax..and you're on your own.…in the wardrobe…etc”
Tension builds with her questions and replies and we do not hear the old lady's voice on the other end of the call.
“Yes help is on the way…10 mins… yes..”
The location then cuts to an old lady, subtly smiling as the camera zooms out from her face to reveal her sitting on the couch. She puts down the phone and continues watching her tv which displays all their security cameras around the home.
She smiles and waits for an arrival she has been planning for years.
Title appears ‘Revenge’.
The rest of the film is about a bitter and psychotic mother looking for a way of revenge against her own son. Her son is a policeman, and the entire phone call has been planned to coincide with her son working on duty that night. The film will follow the narrative of the son who falls into his mothers twisted trap where he needs to use his skills to escape his dark past with his mother and this top security maze of a house.
